The Asgard Bedroom

WORD FROM CHERYL

The Art of Slowing Down

There is something timeless about a canopy bed. More than just a statement piece, it has a way of transforming a bedroom into a space that feels calm, intimate and beautifully considered.

For this bedroom shoot, the inspiration was drawn from the idea of creating a sanctuary that encourages slower living. Soft natural light, earthy textures, and warm timber come together to create a space that feels grounded and effortlessly inviting.

"We believe that great design starts with creating spaces that feel as good as they look."

This bedroom was styled to showcase how a few thoughtfully chosen pieces can completely transform the atmosphere of a room. The Asgard 4 Poster Bed forms the heart of the space, bringing warmth, craftsmanship, and timeless appeal. Draped with the Eira Veil curtains, the bed takes on an inviting softness, creating a luxurious retreat that feels both contemporary and relaxed.

To recreate this look in your own home, begin with a statement bed and build around it using natural materials and layered textures. The Kingslin Pedestal introduces practical bedside storage while complementing the warmth of the timber, and the Kamya Pendant adds sculptural interest overhead, creating a soft, ambient glow.

At the foot of the bed, the Volantis Bench provides both function and balance. Whether used for extra seating, styling your favourite throws, or simply adding another layer of texture, it completes the room with understated elegance.

To create a quiet reading corner, we've paired the inviting Vesta Armchair with the Century Side Table, offering the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or unwind with a good book. Nearby, the Voyager Bookshelf introduces height and styling opportunities while keeping the overall aesthetic light and uncluttered.

The finishing touches are what truly bring the room to life. Layering natural textures, soft linens and handcrafted décor allows each piece to shine without overwhelming the space, creating a bedroom that feels collected, considered, and effortlessly lived in.

This look is a reminder that a bedroom doesn't need to be filled with furniture to feel complete. By choosing timeless pieces and layering them with texture, it's possible to create a space that encourages rest, comfort, and a slower pace of living.
