Soft Layers, Strong Lines

I love a bedroom that feels sophisticated without being too serious, and this Harrison bedroom gets that balance just right. The combination of dark walls, natural timber, soft neutrals and subtle pattern creates a look that feels modern, relaxed and beautifully layered.

"Soft Layers, Strong Lines"

Start with the bed

The Harrison Bed is the hero of the space, with its statement timber slatted headboard bringing warmth and texture against the darker wall. Keep the bedding soft and tonal to balance the stronger elements of the room. I’ve layered neutral bedding with a textured throw and a mix of plain and patterned scatters to create that relaxed, inviting look.

Keep the bedside styling simple

The Harrison Bedside Tables complement the bed beautifully, repeating the timber detail while keeping the overall look clean and uncluttered. When you have a strong headboard, I like to keep the bedside styling fairly minimal — a small lamp, vase or decorative piece is really all you need.

Layer Up the Softs

This is where you can have a little fun with texture and pattern. Layer your bedding with a soft throw and mix different scatter cushions to create depth and interest. Keeping the colours within the same neutral palette allows you to play with different fabrics, textures and patterns without the room feeling too busy.

Bring in leather

The Rexton Leather Armchair adds a beautiful contrast to the softer elements of the bedroom. The leather seat and timber frame tie in with the bed and bedside tables, while also creating a practical little reading or relaxing spot within the room.

The result is a bedroom that feels modern, warm and effortlessly put together. Keep the colour palette neutral, mix your textures, introduce a little pattern and allow the natural timber and leather details to do the rest.
